TPS Family Welcome Night
USNTPS held a Spouse Orientation today.
All of the spouses are invited to a breakfast at the school
where we can meet one another and learn about what to expect
They basically explain that the students are all top notch over-achievers who
have been loured here under the guise of flying super cool and rare planes.
They do get to fly the awesome stuff as promised, but the real purpose
of TPS is to teach pilots how to write test reports.
You wouldn’t get a great response if you offered to send pilots to writing school.
Truthfully, everyone knows what they’ve signed up for.
They’ve been well warned.
In the evening they held a family pizza party at the Flight Deck Lounge,
the official party space/clubhouse/bar of TPS.
There is a nose of an actual plane built into the side of the building.
The cockpit is intact and accessible from the inside of the lounge.
The kids LOVED playing in the cockpit.
It was so awesome!
Who am I kidding?
I loved it the most!
Coolest toy ever.
We ate pizza, mingled, and played games.
It was a good time.
I’m looking forward to getting to know everyone better.
It’s gonna be a fun year!
